Although a new James Bond adventure is heading to the big screen in the form of Skyfall, the gaming community is going to be treated to a bit of retro Bondage, as 007 Legends aims to recreate some of Bond’s best missions of yesteryear with modern gaming tech.
And here we have the very first of Bond’s classic missions, recreated in current gen, FPS form, and it just so happens to be the space-faring Moonraker, complete with 60s space suits, elaborate space station and, of course, everyone’s favourite toothy wonder, Jaws.
By the looks of the clip, it does, as I suspected from the game’s announcement, make use of the GoldenEye Reloaded engine, albeit one that looks to have been tweaked and refined to produce a more impressive looking outing.
There’s certainly nothing wrong with revisiting some of Bond’s most well-loved adventures, though, and we’ll soon seen what the remaining five missions will be. For now, have a look at the Moonraker reveal trailer below.
007 Legends will be released on Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3 on October 16.
