The Newsroom, the new HBO show from Aaron Sorkin, gets a first teaser trailer. Take a look right here…
The work of Aaron Sorkin needs little introduction. The creator of The West Wing and the writer behind The Social Network and Moneyball, he’s inarguably one of the most incisive screenwriters currently working. His ear for sharp dialogue and topical themes is all over the remarkable-looking HBO drama, The Newsroom.
Starring Jeff Daniels as a decidedly grim-faced news anchor (think Ron Burgundy without the mythology-based exclamations of horror) and a great supporting cast, including Olivia Munn, Emily Mortimer and Dev Patel, the show’s about a news team desperately trying to get the truth on the air.
As far as we’re concerned, it looks fantastic. The Newsroom makes its debut on the 24th of June in the US – as soon as we find out when and where it’ll appear in the UK, we’ll let you know.
