Rockstar has finally announced a solid release date for the next instalment in the GTA series, and it’s not going to be in the spring, as previously revealed. Instead, the game will arrive on September 17.
The delay is, according to the official press release, to allow the development team some additional time to fine tune the game. The game is set to be, as the release also says, “The biggest, most dynamic and most diverse open world Rockstar Games has yet created, Grand Theft Auto V blends storytelling and gameplay in new ways as players repeatedly jump in and out of the lives of the game’s three lead characters, playing all sides of the game’s interwoven story.”
The fifth main game in the series is to take place in Los Santos, GTA’s take on Los Angeles, and looks to bring back some of the crazy and varied gameplay seen in San Andreas.
The game will be released on Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3, but details on a possible PC port are to be confirmed.
