Courtesy of HBO, we're delighted to introduce the raft of new characters coming to Game of Thrones' third season, which returns in the US on the 31st of March and in the UK on the 1st of April.
Starting with the unfamiliar faces, first up is Clive Russell in the role of Ser Brynden Tully aka The Blackfish, brother to Riverrun's Lord Hoster Tully and uncle to Catelyn Stark.

Then comes Paul Kaye as the Red Priest of R'hllor, Thoros of Myr, a member of guerilla group, the Brotherhood Without Banners.

And fellow Brother-Without-Banner, Beric Dondarrion (Richard Dormer).

Who else, but Diana Rigg as the formidable Queen of Thorns, Lady Olenna, grandmother to Margaery and Ser Loras Tyrell and newcomer to King's Landing.

Presenting the frog-eating Reed twins, Jojen and Meera, played by Thomas Brodie-Sangster and Ellie Kendrick.

Followed by the man himself, King-Beyond-The-Wall and former member of the Night's Watch: Mance Rayder, played here by Ciaran Hinds.

And finally, the characters you know and love. In order, the Starks (Arya, Sansa, Bran, Jon, Robb & Talisa Maegyr, and Catelyn).
