Currently shooting in Australia is the latest big screen adventure for Hugh Jackman's take on Wolverine. The new X-Men spin-off, The Wolverine, is as you probably know being directed by James Mangold, and looks set to be separate and distinct from the muddled X-Men Origins: Wolverine.
We wonder if we're going to get a trailer for the movie this side of Christmas, which we'd imagine is likely. But for now, we have a lengthened, official synopsis for The Wolverine. If you don't want to know anything about the movie in advance - even though this is only mildly spoiler-y - then look away now...
"Based on the celebrated comic book arc, this epic action-adventure takes Wolverine, the most iconic character of the X-Men universe, to modern day Japan. Out of his depth in an unknown world he faces his ultimate nemesis in a life-or-death battle that will leave him forever changed. Vulnerable for the first time and pushed to his physical and emotional limits, he confronts not only lethal samurai steel but also his inner struggle against his own immortality, emerging more powerful than we have ever seen him before."
So there you have it. The Wolverine will be released on July 26th next year. We'll let you know when we get sign of a trailer...
