Call of Duty: Black Ops 2 has only been out for a couple of days, but the Internet waits for no sequel, and rumours of leaked details regarding the next game, Modern Warfare 4, are already circulating online.
The details in question not only claim that Modern Warfare 4 is in production, but that the game will continue the Modern Warfare story arc (which, most would agree, should have finished in MW3) and that the new lead character is called Ben Burke, a seasoned combat veteran. Previous lead, John ‘Soap’ MacTavish, will also return in a flashback mission.
A fraction of the game’s script has also been leaked, which, along with the above information, would help substantiate earlier claims that a new MW was coming.
To be honest, news of a new Modern Warfare is hardly going to shatter your mind, and as long as the CoD series sells as well as it does (Black Ops 2 is reportedly on track to be the biggest entertainment launch ever) then the games, they’ll keep a comin’.
