It seems that more parts of the Transformers 4 jigsaw are being pieced together, as work accelerates on Michael Bay’s latest robot-smashing movie. We already know that Mark Wahlberg is on board the film, and that the new sequel is going to centre on his character, and his character’s daughter. Furthermore, his daughter’s boyfriend will feature, and be the racing car driver, as identified in early casting call updates.
So who’s in the frame, then?
Well, according to The Hollywood Reporter, names in the frame to play Wahlberg’s daughter are Isabelle Cornish, Nicola Peltz, Margaret Qualley and Gabriella Wilde. As for the racing driving boyfriend? Landon Liboiron (Terra Nova), Luke Grimes, Hunter Parrish, Brenton Thwaites and Jack Reynor have been mentioned. Nobody massively high profile there, then.
The condition for anyone who takes the role, apparently, is that they’re both ready to shoot from April, and that they commit to three films.
That sounds like a whole new Transformers trilogy to us, then. More on the story over at The Hollywood Reporter.
